In a fast-paced, digital world, the study of rare books offers students a chance to
pause, reflect, and connect with the enduring wisdom and imagination of the past.
These books provide a deeply human experience that cannot be replicated online. Through
the Mattord Family Rare Book Scholarship, we hope to inspire young scholars to explore
this physical world of books and ensure their preservation for future generations.
